Postmates

I was given a 50% off grocery promo, which I confirmed had applied before I made my order. When the final receipt arrived, I had been charged full price for everything.

Even most of the sale items I bought were listed as full price. This resulted in a grocery bill that was twice as much as the order I made. I never would have made the order at all without the promo.

I contacted their customer service 4 times and no one would help me at all. They just kept stating that my order "doesn't qualify for refund, but your feedback is appreciated." They all refused to let me speak to a supervisor as well.

I use the Postmates app to order food. I make 4 to 6 orders sometimes a week.

When I received my order and saw anything missing, I contacted them in the app chat. I was missing in my order a drink was missing, but it was a straw in the bag. Postmates told me the order was not eligible for any refund. They kept my money; this was the third time in two weeks they kept my money and refused to give me a credit.

Then, a week later, another order was delivered but missing a box of cookies that should have six Oatmeal cookies.

This time, I contacted Postmates in the app, and they said they would get back to me; since this is the third time they told me that and never got back to me, I contacted the store, and they said they ran out of oatmeal cookies. Postmates in the chat keep telling me to wait, then someone will get back to me, and no one ever responds, and no one got back to me.

On 11/15/23 I ordered food from Postmates, and when I noticed the driver hadn't picked up all of my items, I cancelled the order.

The driver made no attempt to contact me and tell me they didn't have my items, and made no attempt to replace them, as I had asked. Because the driver had already checked out, Postmates refused to refund my money.

After fighting with them over it and being hung up on THREE TIMES, they reversed the original charge, but put TWO UNAUTHORIZED CHARGES ON MY CARD.

When I tried to get them refunded, the customer service rep. told me over and over again that there were no charges, as though I wasn't sitting at my computer looking at my bank account in real time.

I had to send in a screen shot, and when I did, they told me they would "forward the issue" and then hung up on me again.

I had to report the fraud to my bank in order to get my money back, and have also reported it to the Attorney General in my state.
