I ordered from postmates last night I didn’t even get a postmates driver before I canceled my order. I canceled it because I was going to the restaurant to order so I wouldn’t have cold food. They took my money

This happened to me I did not get a refund. I guess they said they would not refund me because they already made the food or something like that and what made me mad is I called the restaurant and the restaurants is the one who told me to cancel the order.

That is the postmates scam. When you order through a restaurant and click the postmates link it will only route the order to the restaurant so they make it and you get charged, but the order is never officially done through postmates. Then when nobody picks it up you ask for the refund which they push out their response to after the 48 hrs then tell you you are past the 48 hrs you should have done it sooner. I caught them last time and said no its only been 3 hrs. Scam #2 they try then is oh, well you must click on the order in your postmates app and request a refund. But that was the problem. It was never placed on postmates app. When I let the restaurant know he said that makes total sense because Postmates is the ones who sent up the link on their google page. Essentially they are charging people for food and never delivering. Then hiding behind scam's and excuses. We need to start a class action lawsuit

According to the Postmates Help section, you can cancel the order directly through the app at no charge to you. However, if the order has been placed and is being prepared, you'll pay for the items and a cancellation fee to cover the cost.
The visitors of quora.com post that there is no charge if you cancel before your Postmates courier arrives at the restaurant and if Postmates hasn't placed your order for you. You pay food costs and a cancellation fee if Postmates has placed the order and your courier is on the way to pick up the order.

I was just about to say I’m ready for a class action lawsuit. They are stealing and helping their drivers steal as well. I want my money back and it’s happened more than I’m confident enough to admit. But I have no car right now and a very picky eater. Now I don’t know what to do because they’re not in any other site so my only choice is to order thru them and hope I get my food or my money and that is not ok.

How can I get my refund?

Hello, This morning I used Postmate to order and deliver some food from "Wawa" around 6: 30am. And when I back to check the track, I just found that my order list was disappeared from the APP.

I am able to provide the receipt of the Bankcard. Can you help me with it?

DO NOT! they are scamming people by uploading postmates link to the restaurant but the restaurant and customer doesnt realize is orders places through a restaurant website doesnt always upload to postmates app. The link they put on the rest. google page only sends the food order so its get made and the customer is charged. Then nobody delivers it and when the customer calls for the refund they say the only way to request is by clicking on the order, request refund on the app., but THATS THE POINT. it never shows on the app so u can never request the refund they way they want. They say they will send the issue over to tech but they run out the clock until its past 48hrs then respond and say oh well its past 48 now u should have done it sooner. I discovered this scam WITH a restaurant manager and he is removing them now. Postmates and uber eats is scamming your customers and those customers aernt going to come back.

According to the Postmates help section, to check the status of your order you should follow these steps:
  • log in to your Partner Dashboard at partner.postmates.com/login;
  • go to the Orders tab;
  • select the order you want to check;
  • the status should be listed in Delivery Info.

According to Postmates Support, to change menu price, you should follow the steps below:
  • Tap Menu from the side navigation in the Postmates order app;
  • Tap on any category;
  • Tap any item;
  • Tap Change Menu Price.

According to Business Insider, you may get a refund on Postmates for incorrect or missing items following the steps below:
Android:
  • Open up your Postmates app on your Android and navigate to "Settings" and tap "Deliveries";
  • Tap "Contact Support";
  • Select which order you'd like to be refunded for;
  • Select the reason;
  • The next screen will ask you to select which issue you had, out of 3 options. You can also type in your issue by tapping "Something Else."

Windows:
  • Sign into your Postmates account on a web browser;
  • Click on your avatar icon in the top right of the screen;
  • Click "Deliveries" and select which order you'd like to be refunded for;
  • Select "Contact Support" and a customer service representative will be in touch with you shortly.

Note that any problems must be reported to Postmates within 48 hours for refund eligibility.

How do I get a refund?

According to Postmates FAQs in order to close your Postmates account you should submit a ticket at support.postmates.com/buyer/contact-us/help. Follow on screen instructions and Postmates support will assist you with deleting your account.

According to the Postmates help section, to cancel your Postmates account, you should open a ticket at support.postmates.com. As stated at businessinsider.com, to delete your Postmates account you should follow these steps:
  • go to support.postmates.com;
  • click 'Account';
  • click 'Delete account';
  • a form should appear, asking for your personal information and why you want to delete your account;
  • fill out the full form.

Canceled order/Where’s my refund??

I accidentally ordered from Carl’s Jr. and canceled it immediately.

The total was $27.31 and after 3 days and not receiving my refund I started emailing without a response. I called twice put on hold for over an hour each time. I finally received an email yesterday only to have been told I would not be getting my money back, that I didn’t try to get it back, that’s not true because I have sent over 20 emails, called twice and held for over an hour each time was hung up on both times. I want my money back.

I’m a older woman on a fixed income.

Is Postmates so desperate for money that you’ve reduced to stealing money from people? Please refund my money!!

According to the information stated at Insider, you can get a refund on Postmates delivery issues through the Postmates mobile app or website. When you cancel an order on Postmates, the amount of money you get back depends on how quickly you cancel.
Donotpay.com states that to request a refund from Postmates you should:
  • Go to the Postmates website;
  • Click on your avatar in the top right corner;
  • Go to Deliveries and choose the order you want to refund;
  • Click on Contact Support.

You will soon be redirected to a Postmates customer service representative. Chat with them and explain why you want a refund. The representative should be able to grant you a refund if they deem your reason justified.

According to the information stated at businessinsider.com, if you cancel an order that has been scheduled for later, you will be refunded the full amount. The same goes for if you cancel quickly — if Postmates hasn't processed the order with the restaurant yet, you can cancel with no consequences.
However, if you cancel after the restaurant has begun preparing your order, and the courier is on their way to pick it up, you'll need to pay for the food and a cancellation fee since Postmates will still have to pay the restaurant and their courier for their troubles.

According to Postmates Help, if you had an issue with your order, you may submit a corresponding request. Please use the Support request form on the company website. You should select “How can we help” > "Refund Request". Scenarios that may be eligible for a refund include late delivery, missing deliveries and missing returns.
To ensure the swiftest resolution, please always include an itemized receipt with any refund request submission. Please note that all refund requests must be submitted within 72 hours of the order's completion in order to be eligible for approval. Refunds will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis using Postmates platform data.

Why haven’t i got a refund for undelivered food

I ordered food from Wendy’s the driver said he was here i went to door NO ONE was there i called Postmates and they was unable to help me why do i have to pay for food i never received

According to Postmates refund policy if you received an order that was incorrect or had problems, you can request a refund from the Postmates help center:
  • Open up your Postmates app.
  • Go to your order history page.
  • Select which order you'd like to be refunded for.
  • Select "Items damaged, missing, or incorrect."

According to Postmates FAQs when you arrive at the merchant, the order will either already be placed by Postmates or you may need to place the order yourself. The Fleet App will let you know if an order is prepaid or not. You must use your Postmates Card to pay for any and all orders that are not prepaid. Contact Postmates support for assistance if you don't have your card with you.
